The beauty of ShoptoCook's Recipe Center is its ease of use. Shoppers simply SCAN the barcode of any meat, seafood, or produce item and are instantly presented with three colorful and enticing recipes that use the scanned item. Shoppers then SELECT a recipe or view additional choices, up to hundreds per cut. Once a delicious meal idea is chosen, shoppers then PRINT the recipe, giving them a handy ingredient list and suggested accompaniments, including branded ingredients, nutritional information and helpful tips.

Shoppers also interact with the kiosk by choosing menu buttons, which focus on the individual shopper's needs and requirements, such as Under 30 Minutes, Healthy Living, and Kids. Menu buttons are also used to feature weekly store specials and holiday and seasonal themes. ShoptoCook™ is able to customize menu buttons to fit individual store and manufacturer needs.

Up-to-Date Data

The recipe database includes over 3500 meat, seafood, produce, and dessert recipes as well as side dish suggestions and wine pairings. All recipes have high resolution photos and can be printed from the kiosk. Recipe sources include industry trade councils and the corporate kitchens of participating vendors. The ShoptoCook™ recipe database is updated regularly with new recipes and product information.

Flexibility and Customization

The flexible application design allows for seasonal themes, regional preferences, and retailer recipe collections. All Recipe Center activity is logged daily allowing for insightful research into recipe popularity and the decision making habits of shoppers. This data is analyzed to guide future recipe additions and to track the needs of shoppers.
